Where life skills develop and friendships blossom
Camp Altitude is a two-week summer camp experience for boys and girls with social cognitive challenges (Asperger's Syndrome, LD, NVLD, ADHD, PDD-NOS, & High Functioning Autism) who are entering 6th through 11th grades. We are committed to providing a safe, fun and rewarding summer experience that promotes social learning and independent living skills.
New Camp Altitude Campers: (enroll your child)
Camp Altitude campers are children who are excited about coming to camp and experiencing a traditional summer camp. The camper would have some insight into their strengths and challenges, willingness to grow, and have social intent toward their peers. Our campers are responsive to behavioral interventions and do not exhibit significant behavioral challenges.
Altitude campers function comfortably within a ratio of 3 campers to 1 adult staff member. Our highly trained professional staff coupled with energetic college and post-graduate aged counselors will provide an experience that integrates your camper's unique needs.

Returning Camp Altitude Campers: (enroll your child)
Returning campers continue to build their social skills, acquire more independent living skills, and continue work on their executive functioning. We encourage each camper to excel in camp sessions. The professional staff reviews the previous year’s challenges and successes of every returning camper, and will also work with the parents if there are new goals in their child’s development.
A returning camper has been able to successfully complete a two-week Camp Altitude summer camp within the 3 to 1 ratio. The camper has shown appropriate social intent and willingness to grow and learn. Many of our returning campers show tremendous growth throughout the year, and parents report back that they have seen changes in their child, as a result of their experiences at Camp Altitude.
See what the parents have to say about Camp Altitude!
“My expectations for my son were to experience a 'typical' summer camp and to learn new skills (specifically social and emotional). My expectations were not only met but exceeded.”
“I expected that she would be supported and encouraged in the area of social skills. My expectations were exceeded.”
“My son's greatest benefit was successfully making new friends. A skill which is sometimes difficult for children with learning difference and challenges.”
